Community Activities and Summer Camps

Below is a list of fun local activities and summer camps for students and their families. These are not school-related or school-sponsored, however McAuliffe does have a partnership with these organizations. Please contact each organization directly for more information and to register.

Career Days For Girls – June, 2019

For one week, participants will travel to five different companies to learn the myriad of careers that lie within transportation and construction. The host will provide lunch. There is space for 12 young women in each week. For application, go to or complete this Google Form.

CISV International Youth Camps

The Denver chapter of CISV has immediate openings for 11-13 year old boys in several upcoming youth camps around the world this summer and next winter. CISV (Children’s International Village) is a global organization founded on a belief that peace is possible through friendship, and that the real difference can be made by starting with children. Denver Public Library – Summer of Reading

Students pre-k through 12th grade can chose their own adventure and earn prizes. Register at your local Denver Public Library.

Girls Lacrosse & Field Hockey Summer Camps

Electras Lacrosse, Aurora Field Hockey Club & Northfield High School are joining together to provide youth girls grades 3-7 with the first ever lacrosse & field hockey camp. For more information click here or visit the Electras Lacrosse website.

JCC Summer Camps

We are not your average day camp! In fact, Camp Shai offers a little something for EVERYONE – from sports to art to STEM to our traditional day camp experience, we offer a variety of activities that are all engaging and fun. Click here for more information.

Mindfulness Camp – June 10th – 28th

In this 3-week session kids learn what matters daily to their health and well-being. Through fun-filled activities, yoga, meditation, outdoor games, exercise, field-trips, and visits to the Carla Madison rec center for swimming and activity, we will introspectively explore what makes us all have: A.B.A.L.A.N.C.E. Shelters, Shacks & Shanties – July 15th-19th

We are excited to partner with our friends over at design/build firm, PAPER AIRPLANE to host this week-long summer camp that draws inspiration from the 1914 book, Shelters, Shacks, and Shanties written by the co-founder of the Boy Scouts of America, D.C. Beard.

This camp provides participants (ages 11-14) a unique opportunity to spend a week working in PAPER AIRPLANE’S Denver workshop and onsite at their property near Mt. Pisgah, west of  Central City, CO. We’ll be designing and building structures inspired by Bead’s illustrations from materials easily found at the site. Part of the week also includes touring nearby architectural remnants from the 1858 Gold Rush and learning about local ecology in Arapahoe National Forest. Soccer Electric Summer Camps
  • 6th Annual Soccer and a Movie Camp – June 10th–14th             Participants play games and learn basic soccer skills followed by lunch and then a walk to the Sie FilmCenter in the afternoons for age-appropriate movies. For more information and to register, click here.
  • 3rd Annual Camplify [SOCCER + STEM + ART] – June 17th–21st Participants will play street soccer in the am and transition to innovative, fun-based, age-appropriate ART and STEM activities in the afternoons. For more information and to register, click here.
Summer Tennis

This spring, coaches from the Gates Tennis Center came to some of the MIS PE classes and taught tennis skills, etiquette and fun to introduce the great lifelong game of tennis.
