Fall Break – Friday 10/18 – Monday 10/21

Just a reminder that McAuliffe does not have school this Friday, October 18th or Monday, October 21st for Fall Break. Enjoy the long weekend and we look forward to seeing all McAuliffe students on Tuesday, October 22nd. Tuesday will be a WHITE day. DPS bus transportation will be provided on Tuesday for eligible riders.

New DPS Weather Delay Policy

New for the 2019-20 school year, all DPS schools (regardless of start time) will be delayed by two hours if a Weather Delay is called by DPS. This Weather Delay Schedule is designed to provide school buses additional time to pick up students and reduce student wait time in severe weather. The decision to close or delay school will be made by the superintendent based on information provided by representatives from DPS Transportation Services, transportation agencies and the weather bureau. Review this flier outlining the process in the event DPS calls a weather delay.

Late Fall Prep Sports Sign-ups and Tryouts

Sign-ups are open on FamilyID for Late Fall Prep Sports: Flag Football and Girls Prep Volleyball.

Visit FamilyID then search McAuliffe International School to sign-up.

Flag Football Tryouts – Tryouts are for all grades and will take place on October 7th, 8th & 9th after school from 4:15-5:30pm. It is highly recommended to attend all 3 days.

Girls Volleyball Tryouts – Tryouts are for all grades and will take place on October 7th, 9th & 10th after school from 4:15-5:30pm. It is highly recommended to attend all 3 days.

School Tours & Open House

School Tours

McAuliffe will offer School Tours for parents and their current 5th grade student on most Friday mornings from October 4th, 2019 through February 14th, 2020.  These tours will run from 8:40am-9:40am. Due to the enrollment demand and the increasing student population in the boundary, we ask that ONLY current residents of the Greater Park Hill / Stapleton shared middle school enrollment boundary or those intending to move to our boundary area register for the School Tours. We will limit each School Tour to 42 families a day to reduce the impact on our teachers and students. Please do not bring younger siblings on the School Tour. Please sign-up for school tours here.

Open House –  Thursday, December 12th

McAuliffe International School is pleased to offer an Open House on Thursday, December 12th from 7:00-8:00pm for families to learn more about our school. Parents and their current 5th grade student are welcome to attend our Open House together. Due to limited auditorium space, we ask that Open House attendees register below (please sign up for ONE slot per family). If you have attended the School Tour it is not necessary to attend the Open House. Please sign-up for the Open House here.

Back to School – Contracts, School Supplies

 

Complete McAuliffe Contracts 
All students and their parent/guardians must review and complete (with an e-signature) McAuliffe contracts. The contracts can be found online here.

School Supplies – Gym Lock Needed

All students will need a regular combination lock for the gym locker. We apologize that this was accidentally omitted on our original school supply list. If you ordered a kit through EPI you will need to purchase a lock for the gym locker.

Student Fees – Payment Due August 31st
Student fees for the 2019-20 school year are $195. This covers their student planner, locker maintenance, and consumables (language arts books, art/elective/engineering materials, etc). School fees will be applied to your My School Bucks account and families will receive an email indicating they have an outstanding invoice. Fees are paid online through My School Bucks (you can click on the invoice or access My School Bucks through Parent Portal).

Summer 2019 Action Items – Due August 2nd

1. Complete the Annual Family Update

The Annual Family Update (aka Registration) will be available online through August 2nd. Click here​ to complete registration. In order to participate, you must have an active DPS Parent Portal account – click here​ to sign-up, or to check that your account is active and ready. For more information about online registration click here.

2. Complete McAuliffe Contracts
All students and their parent/guardians must review and complete (with an e-signature) McAuliffe contracts. The contracts can be found online here.

Registration and signed contracts must be complete by Friday, August 2nd.

** Update on Student Fees **  We are waiting on My School Bucks before we can load student fees to their accounts. We will alert families when this has been competed and families can pay their $195 school fee. Fees will be due by August 31st.

Order School Uniforms

McAuliffe does not sell uniforms at the school and any issues with orders (sizing, returns, etc) need to be handled through our vendors. If your family needs support with school uniforms please complete the scholarship application

McAuliffe has two vendors for uniform orders:

  1. SAI Sports – Uniforms can be purchased online through SAI Sports.  All orders are batched & processed on the 1st & 15th of each month. Please plan on 2-3 weeks for delivery.  SAI can be reached at 303-664-5580.

2.  Impact We Print – Uniforms (T-shirts and hoodies only) are available in-store at Impact We Print. The store is located at 6500 E. Stapleton South, Unit K.  Store hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday-Friday and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm. Impact We Print can be contacted at 303-548-6746.
