I am a Minnesota native who loves spending time outdoors with my family and friends. I have always liked science, so much so that I majored in geology at Carleton College, and went on to receive my M.S. in geochemistry at the University of Washington. I have taught middle and high school science for eight years, and have been teaching in Denver since 2012. I teach through a social justice lens and focus on inquiry in the classroom so that students develop a love for science as well as the 21st century skills necessary for high school, college, and career. When I’m not in the classroom I spend time reading, knitting, and hiking.
