Fuller, Emily

I am very excited to teach mathematics at McAuliffe and help students think in ways that they are not accustomed. One of my favorite mathematicians, Georg Cantor, said that “in mathematics, the art of proposing a question must be held of higher value than solving it.” In math this year, we will work to generate questions, reason and think through them, and prove our conclusions. We will learn mathematics not because it will help us with a job or because it will help us do well on a test but because loving learning and loving thinking makes us better human beings. Outside of school, I’m probably somewhere in a forest, on a trail, atop a mountain, on a slope, or in a lake with my two favorite mammals – Mr. Fuller and Professor Enzo, the canine.
