I have been very fortunate to spend much of my life internationally, with ten years of my childhood in Kenya, semesters studying abroad in Thailand and Madagascar, working for a traveling summer camp in Western Europe, and serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English in Ukraine. Ever since I was a young boy, I have always had a passion for playing sports and being involved in physical activity. These international experiences in some of the amazing cultures of the world only fueled this passion and gave me another passion to become a teacher. I received my Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Simpson College in Iowa and more recently completed the K-12 Physical Education Licensure Program from Metro State University of Denver. I have called Denver home for the past four years and was very lucky to meet my beautiful wife, Annie, here. We are very excited as we are expecting our first baby in August 2017. We love to go exploring on hikes in the mountains, watching sporting events in the city, walking our dog while admiring Colorado’s beauty, and planning our next big adventure overseas.
