Hello, Bonjour, Hola, Marhaba! I was born and raised in wonderful Michigan, but spent most of my summers abroad visiting family and friends in Europe and Lebanon. Growing up in a multilingual family, I was surrounded by languages and speak English, Arabic, French and Spanish. I went to school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Studies with certificates to teach French, Spanish and Psychology. My love of language and culture has taken me on numerous adventures where I had the opportunity to live abroad in France and Spain. Finally, the mountains called to me and I moved to Colorado. I spent two years teaching at an International Baccalaureate school in Colorado Springs, and I have been a teacher at McAuliffe since its first year! While I am not teaching, you will see me outdoors with my husband and dog, traveling to new destinations, cooking delicious ethnic foods, hiking, practicing rock-climbing, discovering new music and working on my volleyball skills!
