I was born in Colorado Springs and also spent time living in Indiana: one time during my senior year of high school, and the second time to coach college basketball at St. Joseph’s College in northern Indiana. I moved back to Colorado in 2004 and began work as a para-professional at Mountain Ridge Middle School in a special education classroom. From 2005-2012, I taught special education at Rampart High School and was recognized as Teacher of the Year by my school district in 2010-2011. My special education team was awarded Team of the Year in 2011-2012. I graduated in 2012 from Western State College of Colorado with my Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education Law. I am married and have a son named Easton. I love to golf, camp, fish, garden and spend time with my family.
