I was born in Colorado Springs and also spent time living in Indiana, one time during my senior year of high school and the second time to coach college basketball at St. Joseph’s College in northern Indiana. I moved back to Colorado in 2004 and began work as a para-professional at Mountain Ridge Middle School in a special education classroom. From 2005-2012, I taught special education at Rampart High School and was recognized as Teacher of the Year by my school district in 2010-2011. My special education team was awarded Team of the Year in 2011-2012. I graduated in 2012 from Western State College of Colorado with my Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education Law. I have been married for 6 years and have one son named Easton, age 5. I love to golf, camp, fish, garden and spend time with my family.
