I was born and raised in the Denver area and attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. I earned my BA in Global/Multicultural Studies and Spanish and studied abroad in both Costa Rica and Spain. After graduating, I headed west to Seattle where I continued my education and dream of teaching at Seattle Pacific University, earning my MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I have been teaching high school Language Arts in Westminster Public Schools for the last four years in addition to coaching JV girls’ basketball. I have a passion for teaching and coaching and enjoy having a job that promotes lifelong learning for both my students and for myself. When I am not teaching, I spend my time reading, traveling, and staying active through CrossFit and various local sports leagues.
