I am a Colorado native, I was born and raised in Denver and grew up on mountains and fresh air. I left Colorado for college at Ohio Wesleyan University which allowed me to pursue playing lacrosse, and science. However, four years in the mid -west was more than enough for me and I moved back after getting my degree in Zoology. I made the most of being back in Colorado by moving to Boulder and then Estes Park living in my truck and working as a ski tech in the winter and a climbing guide in the summer. Eventually I got a job teaching science and spent nine years at Morey Middle School before moving to Hill and starting the STEM Program there. In the last four years I have taught many of the PLTW courses including Design & Modeling, Automation and Robotics, Medical Detectives, Flight and Space and Intro to Computer Science. I am excited to join McAuliffe and the Engineering team. Outside of school, I spend time with my wife and two kids, travelling, cooking, swimming and playing. My interests include all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer…rock climbing, skiing and fly-fishing – though you would most often find me on my road bike.
