I am excited to be a part of the McAuliffe community. I love teaching history because I truly believe we must understand our past in order to improve the future. I love incorporating geography, economics, government, math, and especially literacy into my social studies classes. I taught 7th grade social studies in the Cherry Creek School District for three years, and before that I taught world geography to high school freshmen in the Mapleton School District. I received my bachelor’s degrees in History and International Business at the University of Tampa, and my master’s degree in Urban Education at the University of Denver, where I was a part of the Botcher Teacher’s Program. I am a Colorado native and avid Denver Broncos, Nuggets and Rockies fan! I enjoy mountaineering and wake boarding and have a beautiful baby daughter.
