I grew up in western Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh (Hail to Pitt!). While at Pitt I earned a degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and also received certification to be a secondary educator in Mathematics. I began my professional career as an engineer working on environmental projects, with a focus on waterways, sanitation, and wetland delineation, mitigation, and design. While engineering is a great profession, I’ve always had the desire to teach and have been teaching secondary STEM-related courses for the past 8 years and working with FIRST Robotics. I came to Colorado because of my desire to explore the great outdoors and and love being on the trail, camping in the mountains, or taking in a show at Red Rocks. I enjoy traveling the country and would love to visit every National Park. Being from the Steel City, I bleed black and gold and am an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
