Please join us this Friday, May 7th for our Virtual First Friday Coffee from 8:30-9:30am. Hosted by our Dean of Operations, Sherry Beardshear and Community Liaison, Michelle Moore, this is a chance to learn about upcoming school events, how to get involved, and hear from different staff members and students.
This week Mr. Dennis will talk about the time changes and transportation for next school year, and parents will get additional details on end of year activities. We’ll have students share what AAPI month means to them, and hear what our 8th-graders are doing to celebrate their class.
We hope you can join us!

In order to allow our families the opportunity to begin making plans for this summer, we are releasing the MIS calendar for the 2021-2022 school year.
2021-2022 McAuliffe School Calendar (updated 5/4/21)
Please note that we have updated our school calendar slightly to align with the DPS Fall Break.
All students who are returning to McAuliffe for in-person learning must complete a SafeAccess screening prior to entering the building. Parents and guardians can refer to this at-home symptom screening guide for reference.
This screening can be done at home (student must provide proof of screening) or they will be screened prior to entering the building.
The SafeAcess code can be found here. Students/families can also scan the QR code to access the SafeAccess screening. This QR code is specific to McAuliffe students.
Please see the attached letter regarding our return to in-person learning.
DPS is expanding their partnership with COVIDCheck Colorado to offer free COVID-19 testing to students to support a safe return to school. Students will now be able to take an initial COVID-19 test before coming back to school as well as ongoing screening tests every other week.
The tests are free, fast and reliable. Testing sites include Montbello campus, Abraham Lincoln, North, All City Stadium and a new site at George Washington. Tests will be completed via nasal PCR test or SalivaDirect™, and results will be returned within 36-72 hours.
DPS students and team members should use this link to register for a test. Family members and community members should use the community link to register.
McAuliffe is proud to offer a variety of virtual clubs for our students. Please check out all of the exciting clubs posted on our website. All clubs are free, virtual and take place after school. More opportunities will be added over the next few weeks, so please check back frequently! Students will receive a link to their club’s Zoom room through their DPs email account after registering for the club. Students may participate in multiple clubs, though some clubs have limited space. If you have any questions, contact Sherry Beardshear at Sherry_Beardshear@dpsk12.org.
We are pleased to announce that McAuliffe International School has been recognized as one of the top schools in the nation by the U.S. Department of Education and Education Secretary Betsy Devos. As a recipient of the 2020 Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon Award, McAuliffe joins only three other schools in the state of Colorado receiving this recognition.
We are honored to receive this award and are grateful to the families and community members that have supported our staff and students the past eight years in making McAuliffe the wonderful school that it is today.
McAuliffe International utilizes several online tools to engage students and drive their learning. During remote learning, teachers will primarily be using Zoom and Desmos.
To support remote learning, all DPS parents & guardians need to read and electronically sign the DPS Academic Technology Menu (ATM) Contract.
To find the complete list of online tools that teachers may be using during remote learning and throughout the year, visit this website.
