Bonjour! I’m excited to be a part of McAuliffe as your French teacher. I was born and raised in Iowa on my parents’ farm and moved to Colorado in 1986 where I met my husband. We have been married for 22 years and have raised 2 wonderful children. My love of French runs deep and started when I read Le Petit Prince and then traveled to France for the first time with my junior class. My teaching career began with French and 8th grade English at a middle school in Boulder. From 2005-2013 I taught IB French, both Diploma Program and MYP, in Adams School District 50. I received my BA in French from Metropolitan State College of Denver and my teaching licensure from Regis University. I have studied at the University of Illinois taking courses in translation, and I have studied French in Hyères France to complete my BA. I am currently working on my Master’s degree from CSU Global Campus. In my spare time I love to read, quilt, do yoga, travel and spend time with my family.
