I grew up in Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where I studied Education and Psychology. After graduating, I was placed in North Carolina by Teach for America, and taught fifth grade for two years. Wanting to be closer to my family and the mountains, I decided to come back west to Denver. I then taught sixth grade ELA for five years and realized how much I enjoy working with middle school students. Seeking a new challenge and a new way to support students, I decided to pursue School Counseling. I love being in a role that allows me to support a variety of student needs on their academic journey, and I am thrilled to be a part of the McAuliffe Team. In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and my son hiking, reading, cooking, and traveling.
