6th Grade Language & Literacy

Teachers & Staff

I have been teaching middle school Language Arts for eight years, beginning in Washington, DC and here in Denver for the past three years. I grew up primarily overseas – in Belize, Egypt, and Jordan – before attending the College of William and Mary in Virginia, where I studied English Literature. After college, I served as an AmeriCorps literacy tutor at an elementary school in Bellingham, WA before returning to DC to teach 6th grade Humanities. I received my Master’s in Education from Lesley University in 2013. In my free time, I love to read, ride my bike, play music, and go backpacking. I am excited to be teaching 6th grade Language Arts at McAuliffe!
