Originally from Spokane, Washington, I attended Willamette University, a small liberal arts school in Oregon. There, I earned both a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Masters in Teaching. For the last seven years, I taught middle school language arts and coached cross-country and track & field in Portland, Oregon. My husband and I relocated to Denver last summer so that he could attend graduate school. (Goodbye Northwest rain, hello Colorado sun!) I have spent the last year exploring our new home with our young daughter, Clara. It has been so fun reading, cooking, spending time with family, and enjoying the outdoors, but I am excited to teach again this year. Throughout my training and career I have been fortunate to work with diverse student populations in a variety of settings, and I can’t wait get to know the McAuliffe community!
