Originally from Upstate New York, I found my way to Denver after a two-year tour as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia. I’ve lived in Denver for over 10 years, and we’ve recently moved to the Stapleton area. Even in high school I knew that I wanted to teach, so I pursued both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in English Education at SUNY Oneonta. I taught Language Arts for 14 years with Jefferson County Public Schools before joining the McAuliffe team. Outside of school, I love to read, watch movies, walk around town, and spend time with my family.
