Please join us in celebrating White Cane Day by wearing WHITE on Wednesday, October 15th! Students can wear a white McAuliffe shirt, or another white top that meets our school dress code guidelines.
White Cane Safety Day is a national observance held every year on October 15th to recognize the white cane as a symbol of independence and empowerment for people who are blind or visually impaired. Established in 1964, this special day also raises awareness about safety and accessibility, while celebrating the achievements, independence, and contributions of individuals with visual impairments.
Let’s come together as a community to show our support, learn, and celebrate the power of inclusion and independence!
Thanks, all! The McAuliffe SpEd Team
