The annual fundraiser in the fall is McAuliffe’s “big event” and requires tremendous community support to ensure that it is successful. Volunteers are needed from May through November for a variety of roles, from serving on the planning committee to day-of support.
Sherry Beardshear, Dean of Operations, coordinates our after-school enrichments and clubs. Bring your A GAME to McAuliffe and help run an afterschool enrichment or club. We need parents to help with Brain Bowl, Destination Imagination, cooking classes, and more. Contact Sherry for more information.
McAuliffe will host 2 Campus Beautification Days this year (in the fall and spring). This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your family out to help clean the grounds of McAuliffe. We would love several volunteers to be in charge of various stations around campus. Look for dates and times in the school newsletter.
The McAuliffe School Collaborative School Committee meets the third Thursday of each month. All meetings are open to the public. To inquire about participating on this committee, please contact Principal Kurt Dennis. Because we sometimes need to reschedule due to a schedule conflict, please always watch for updates about the coming meeting.
Do you have life experiences or inspiring stories of resilience or persistence you’d like to share with our students? Consider speaking to a small (or large) group of students who might need encouragement from time to time.
The Random Acts of Kindness Committee works alongside students to promote a culture of kindness and respect through engaging community-building exercises throughout the year.
The Staff Appreciation Committee provides lunch or snacks for all McAuliffe staff one day each month. We also celebrate all staff during Staff Appreciation Week in May. You may find current information about sign-up forms in our weekly email newsletter. For questions, please contact Michelle Moore.
Are you a former literacy teacher? Or maybe you just love math? McAuliffe teachers could use your tutoring support before and after school or during homeroom or lunch.
This volunteer group supports the McAuliffe theatre program and stage craft. Support may include providing meals for the cast and crew during the weeks of performances, ticket sales, support with sewing costumes and building sets, and public relations.
Our Winter Dance Committee helps plan fun social events throughout the year! Our biggest event is our school dance, held just before the winter break.
