I am a Denver area native and I have lived in NE Park Hill for 20 years. I attended college in Iowa where I graduated from Northwestern College with a BA in History and a secondary teaching certificate. After college, I moved to Seattle where I taught high school history and English Language Development. When my husband and I returned to Denver, I taught in DPS at Merrill Middle School and while there I completed my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I left full time teaching for several years when my two kids were born. Over the years, I was very active in the Stedman Elementary community and became a substitute teacher there and at McAuliffe. I am very excited to be teaching social studies again full time.
