I grew up southeast Michigan and got my first two degrees from Michigan State University. I am truly a Spartan through and through and bleed green! After graduating with my undergrad, I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia where I taught for a few weeks in their year-round school system. After that experience I wanted to branch out and moved to Denver. I have been teaching 6th and 7th grade Math for the last 6 years and have since gotten a Masters in Teaching and Curriculum and will start the school year at McAuliffe with a Masters in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education as well. Outside of teaching, I love exploring all the wonders that Colorado has to offer by hiking, skiing, heading to one of the various parks, spending as much time at the zoo as I can, and playing tennis. I also love to read; I can’t stay away from a great series. Harry Potter is my favorite!
